An inclusive and interactive learning aid for children facing dyscalculia.

 Ease helps children understand basic mathematical concepts through play.

Concept

A set of 36 blocks and 10 brackets are provided. By placing two blocks in two brackets, children learn that the number two is made of two units. This helps them understand the concept of numbers.

  • Helps understand lesser than, greater than, ascending and descending orders by relating the value of numbers to their physical sizes.

  • Ease can also be used to understand simple mathematical equations like addition and subtraction.

  • The brackets are colour coded denoting odd and even numbers.

The blocks can also be used to play other games like Jenga as the child grows up.

Ease was presented at the International  conference ‘Designing for Children with focus on Play and Learn' held from 28th - 30th, January 2021 hosted by IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay.
